Lesson 2 – World View
In this episode of “The Art of Thinking,” we explore how worldviews shape our thinking process. Our minds think in two broad ways: theoretically and practically. Theoretical thinking is based on the principle that two halves of a contradiction cannot both be true at the same time, while practical thinking reasons that good should be done and evil avoided. We delve deeper into the concept of good and evil and how they relate to the Christian theology, where everything God made is considered good. We discuss two examples of worldviews: traditional and modern, and how they affect how we interpret and see the world. Understanding worldviews is crucial in building peaceful and orderly relationships between people of different beliefs, and clear and skillful thinking allows us to reflect on our beliefs and consider their worthiness.
